PLEASE ADD YOUR RESEARCH BY EDITING THE END OF THIS TABLE


Good job everybody! We've assembled a good amount of Archer and Ballista information, and are requesting a bit more info with other troop types, especially Cavalry and Catapults. Level 10 wilderness data especially needed to complete KoC Wiki. Keep the info coming, greatly appreciated! The most useful data are from attacks that lose minimal troops, or no losses at all. We are looking for an effective army unit, show us what you got!


Research MUST be conducted as follows:

  1. Send one militia per trap in to do trap removal.
  2. Send your main army with 1 militia (so as not to overtake your initial trap removal squad).
  3. Record your result, including research levels.
  4. For the timestamp/sig column, you can just put ~~~~ (4 tildes in a row) to automatically fill in the details.


Poi = Poisoned Edge, Met = Metal Alloys, Flt = Fletching, Heal = Healing Potion

this wave also included 250 pikers and 500 battering rams with no losses to either. I do not think they were useful at all. I believe the loss of 200 of the 250 sent catapults offset the loss of the ballistae seen in other tests.

Total Loss: 1199MIL/1006ARC/351BAL.

Question: how did I get the BAL loss down from 401 to 351? The RAMs?

Note: When you send your trap removal guy, the battle report will show only 1 trap removed. However, your main force will nevertheless NOT be fighting any traps, as you can see by your second battle report, where no traps will be listed. If you find this not to be the case, comment below.

Note: After the latest update, you need to send 1:1 for Militia:Traps. And it will display how many traps were taken out properly as well.

For lvl9 Wild 1st Wave with 1 Milita is still enough to clear all Traps. (edit by: Desero)


Added column for Swordsman sent/lost, I have tested this repeatedly with 1200 lost Archers, 1 lost Sword (edit by: Blue Maxx)


Observations:


  • Metal Alloys makes no difference (see test 7 + 8).
  • Healing Potions makes no difference ( test 8 + 11)
  • Poisoned Edge makes little difference (test 14 + 16)
