Quests in Kingdoms of Camelot serve as a guideline for new players. It is highly recommendable to follow the "Recommended" quests for a while till you have an understanding of the game. For an experienced player these still yield a small bonus for every quest that is completed, even though they don't make a remarkable difference in terms of resources.
