'''Q: What are the Dark Forests?'''
<br />'''A:''' Camelot is in turmoil! There are strange happenings all throughout the Kingdom and people continue to disappear, leaving no clue as to where they might have gone. Now, with Guinevere kidnapped, Arthur has called his Knights into action! But is it too late? The world is being ripped open and mysterious and vicious creatures are entering our world from beyond. The manifestation of these vile creatures seems to coincide with newly-formed geographical anomalies- the Dark Forests. These evil, seemingly impenetrable locations house incredible challenges for even the most battle-tested inhabitants of the Kingdom. Defeating the creatures within the Dark Forests may be the last hope for Camelot.

'''Q: How do I find the Dark Forests?'''
<br />'''A:''' The Dark Forests are beginning to appear in Bogs all over Camelot. Search your map for Bogs to find those that have been transformed into Dark Forests. Thankfully, not all Bogs within the Kingdom have yet been transformed so be sure to search diligently. Ridding Camelot of the Dark Forests may be difficult as it is rumored that when one is destroyed, another one opens somewhere else mere hours later.

<br />'''A:''' Within the Dark Forests you will find never before seen creatures, stronger than anything you have ever encountered in Camelot. Thankfully, Scouts have proven to be very adept at identifying what inhabits a Dark Forest; so much so, in fact, that it only takes one Scout to provide a reliable report of what creatures await you inside.

You’ve probably noticed that your troops have a ‘type’ associated with them in the troop training modal. These types (infantry, ranged, horsed, siege, defense) will be used in the Dark Forests to determine a ‘trumping’ effect. Generally, infantry trump horsed; horsed trump ranged; and ranged trump infantry. All three of them trump siege; siege trumps defense; and defense trumps infantry, ranged, and horsed. Likewise, your foes will have these same types.

Lossless combat is impossible in the Dark Forests; powerful cultists, dangerous monsters, and the encroaching corruption of the Dark Forests themselves make them inherently deadly places to venture into. Never the less, coming to an understanding of the type of foe you are facing will help you determine which troops to send and how many over time.

'''Q: Will I be rewarded for defeating the monsters within Dark Forests?'''
<br />'''A:''' Yes, dispelling a Dark Forest will earn you several rewards- a vast amount of Gold, a chance for an item (including premium items such as a Divine Providence or Divine Inspiration, for example) and a significant amount of experience for your Knight. Furthermore, repeated victories may provide valuable intel on how to deal with future Dark Forests.

==Population and aetherstone reward==
The population of each level of dark forest seems to be based on a fixed number of Wanders of Din, that is then modified according to randomly generated numbers to populate the other categories. The base number is the same as the number of [[aetherstone]] found - 1,000, 2,000, 4,000, 8,000 ... 512,000, (XP is 3 times this number and gold 1.15 time the base number).

Example: Level 5 DF, 16,000 Wanderers of Din. Each of the other categories that can be found in a level 5 is then given a number of troop (possibly 0) and a proportion of the WoD are removed, more for tougher units and less for weaker units. (A level 5 with 16,000 WoD and nothing else has been found.)

When DF troops are killed, the attacking kingdom is rewarded with aetherstone in proportion 1 aetherstone = 1 WoD. Clearly wiping a full DF will rewards, 1,000, 2,000, .. 512,000 aetherstone, depending on the level, defeats and partial victories will reward pro rata.

*Lower-tier units suffer fewer losses than higher-tier units (as well as being a more efficient use of resources).
|144 attacks

*Dark Forests make no use of Range and Speed whatsoever.
|Troop: 1SC(Dead) + 49,999AR(All Servive)
+
*Dark Forests are much more random than the normal combat system.
|Dragon’s Stomp
+
*Militiaman and supply troops seem to be the most efficient and effective up to level 5.  At Level 6 and above, a 200k MM wave will all be dead.
|Merlin’s Seal(x2)
+
*Cavalry and Heavy cavalry are also reasonably efficient against them, as well as having a faster marching speed.
|Tiferstone(x5)
+
*Like wildernesses, Dark Forests do not immediately respawn, so a two-wave hit could be used.
|
+
*The Guardians help you in the same way as if you were attacking a player. As of right now, you are either Increasing your troops Attack value, or you're Increasing their HP.
|
+
*'''''Aetherstone:''''' Normally you can only gain aetherstone by attacking Dark Forests. When you attack lvl 5+ wilds you gain throne room items, if you don't want the throne room item, you salvage it.  When you salvage it, based on its rarity level, you gain a somewhat equivalent value in Aetherstone.

==Dark Forest Guide==
|-
+
Level 1-10 bogs randomly become level 1-10 dark forests.<br />Dark forests can be scouted and they can be attacked.
|DF - Lv.2
+
|
+
If a dark forest wins a battle, it still remains where it is.<br />The troops that were killed will not return. Only those surviving the battle remain in the forest.
|
+
|
+
Each time a dark forest is defeated, it disappears.<br />Once in a while (not sure if it's a set time or after a certain amount of dark forests have been defeated), new dark forests reappear in new places all over the domain (or maybe only one province at a time) to replace those that have been defeated.
|
+
|
+
Be careful if you hit dark forests during this period of regeneration, as they may regenerate as a higher level than before.<br />An error message saying "Cannot perform this action on target location" is a sign of this regeneration being in progress.<br />If you do not get a report from attacking a dark forest, the forest most probably isn't there anymore, but has reverted back to a bog.
|
+
|
+
Since defeated forests disappear, you can defeat any one dark forest only once.

Wanderer of Din<br />Population = 1<br />Each level 1 dark forest contains a total population of 1,000, always consisting of 1,000 Wanderers of Din.<br />This is a melee unit, comparable to militiamen:<br />· Attack: 20 (100 for militiamen)<br />· Defense: 10 (13 for militiamen)<br />· Life: 70 (400 for militiamen)
*Cavalry and Heavy cavalry are also reasonably efficient against them, as well as having a faster marching speed
+
*Like wildernesses, they do not immediately respawn, so a two wave hit could be used.
+
Blade of Netzekt<br />Population = 3<br />Each level 2 dark forest contains a total population of 2,000, being a mixture of Wanderes and Blades.<br />This is a mounted unit, comparable to cavalry:<br />· Attack: 95 (500 for cavalry)<br />· Defense: 16 (45 for cavalry)<br />· Life: 250 (1000 for cavalry)
*The Guardians help you in the same way as if you were attacking a player. As of right now, you are either Increasing your troops Attack or your Increasing their HP.
+
*Dark Forests reset domain wide every 6 hours, at 12am, 6am, 12pm, 6pm PST. The domain takes about 1 hour to fully reset as far as I can tell, during this time beware that the level of the Dark Forest you are attacking may change. I find it best to avoid attacking Dark Forests during that hour and concentrate my attacks in the 5 hours following before the next reset.
+
Arm of Gevrah<br />Population = 5<br />Each level 3 dark forest contains a total population of 4,000, being a mixture of Wanderes, Blades and Arms.<br />This is a ranged unit, comparable to archers:<br />· Attack: 80 (240 for archer)<br />· Defense: 21 (25 for archer)<br />· Life: 600 (500 for archer)
  +
  +
Priest of Yeshod<br />Population = 7<br />Each level 4 dark forest contains a total population of 8,000, being a mixture of Wanderes, Blades, Arms and Priests.<br />This is a specialist unit, somewhat comparable to supply wagons:<br />· Attack: 60 (20 for supply wagon)<br />· Defense: 32 (15 for supply wagon)<br />· Life: 1200 (1400 for supply wagon)
  +
  +
Sahareen hounds<br />Population = 11<br />Each level 5 dark forest contains a total population of 16,000, being a mixture of Wanderes, Blades, Arms, Priests and Hounds.<br />This is a mounted unit, comparable to cavalry:<br />· Attack: 400 (500 for cavalry)<br />· Defense: 27 (45 for cavalry)<br />· Life: 2000 (1000 for cavalry)

Defeating a Dark Forest<br />—————————–
  +
  +
Depending on the experience of your knight, your troops will be hit a certain number of times, till either you or they are defeated. The more experienced your knight is, the fewer rounds will be needed to defeat a dark forest.<br />The strength of your own troops has less meaning than your knight's experience. Do not send large numbers of strong units against low level dark forests, especially not catapults.
  +
  +
For minimal losses, use layered attacks. Note however, that the order in which your layered troops fight is quite possible random, or at least dependent on the number of different types of troops defending.<br />The more layered single troops you include, the more of them will get a chance to fight, and reduce the remaining troops for the bulk of your force to defeat.
  +
  +
To defeat dark forests of level 7 and higher may require more than one attack.
  +
  +
Defeating a Level 1 Dark Forest<br />————————————-
  +
  +
Since there is only one type of troops defending a level 1 Dark Forest,<br />there are several known safe ways of defeating them.
  +
  +
It is safe to assume that 1 single cavalry will always fight and die first.<br />It is also safe to assume that archers will perform well on attacking Wanderers of Din, a melee unit.
  +
  +
The following is the "cheapest" setup, for short distances (only the militiaman will die):<br />· 1 militiaman<br />· 10k archers (a good knight requires fewer, a bad knight more)
  +
  +
The following is the "fastest" setup, for long distances (only the cavalry will die):<br />· 1 cavalry<br />· 120k scouts (a good knight requires fewer, a bad knight more)
  +
  +
Defeating a Level 2 Dark Forest<br />————————————–
  +
  +
The strongest unit defending a level 2 forest is the Blade of Netzekt, a mounted unit.<br />It is thus assumed that pikemen will perform well on attacking a level 2 dark forest.<br />However, the outcome is largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers and Blades of Netzekt.
  +
  +
When attacking a level 2 dark forest, use an experienced knight.<br />A rather safe setup of troops is:<br />· 1 supply troop<br />· 1 scout<br />· 1 pikeman<br />· 1 swordsman<br />· 1 archer<br />· 1 cavalry<br />· 150k, or maximum amount of militiamen
  +
  +
Sometimes you will lose only 2 or 3 single troops, sometimes 1 or 2 singles and a few militiamen as well.
  +
  +
If you scout the level 2 forest first, and find a large number of Blades of Netzekt, you can try this setup as well:<br />· 1 supply troop<br />· 1 militiaman<br />· 1 scout<br />· 1 swordsman<br />· 1 archer<br />· 1 cavalry<br />· 150k, or maximum amount of pikemen
  +
  +
Defeating a Level 3 Dark Forest<br />————————————–
  +
  +
The strongest unit defending a level 3 forest is the Arm of Gevrah, a ranged unit.<br />It is thus assumed that cavalry will perform well on attacking a level 3 dark forest.<br />However, the outcome is largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers, Blades and Arms of Gevrah.
  +
  +
When attacking a level 3 dark forest, use your most experienced knight.<br />A rather safe setup of troops is:<br />· 1 supply troop<br />· 1 scout<br />· 1 pikeman<br />· 1 swordsman<br />· 1 archer<br />· 1 cavalry<br />· 1 heavy cavalry<br />· 1 supply wagon<br />· 150k, or maximum amount of militiamen
  +
  +
You will lose a few single troops, and most likely a few hundred militiamen.
  +
  +
If you scout the level 3 forest first, and find a large number of Arms of Gevrah, you can try with this setup as well:<br />· 1 supply troop<br />· 1 militiaman<br />· 1 scout<br />· 1 pikeman<br />· 1 swordsman<br />· 1 archer<br />· 1 heavy cavalry<br />· 1 supply wagon<br />· 150k, or maximum amount of cavalry
  +
  +
Defeating a Level 4 Dark Forest<br />————————————–
  +
  +
The strongest unit defending a level 4 forest is the Priest of Yeshod, a specialist unit.<br />Since we do not know what special forces they possess, it is unknown which troops perform best against them.<br />Besides, the outcome would be largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers, Blades, Arms and Priests of Yeshod.
  +
  +
When attacking a level 4 dark forest, always use your most experienced knight.<br />A rather safe setup of troops is:<br />· 1 supply troop<br />· 1 scout<br />· 1 pikeman<br />· 1 swordsman<br />· 1 archer<br />· 1 cavalry<br />· 1 heavy cavalry<br />· 1 supply wagon<br />· 1 ballista<br />· 1 battering ram<br />· 150k, or maximum amount of militiamen
  +
  +
You will lose several single troops, the more the better.<br />Depending on how many single troops you lost, you will also lose some 1-10k militiamen.
  +
  +
Defeating a Level 5 Dark Forest<br />————————————–
  +
  +
The strongest unit you might find defending a level 5 forest is the Sahareen Hound, a mounted unit.<br />It can thus be assumed that pikemen will perform well on attacking a level 5 dark forest.<br />However, the outcome would be largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers, Blades, Arms, Priests and Hounds.
  +
  +
Defeating a Level 6 Dark Forest<br />————————————–
  +
  +
The strongest unit you might find defending a level 6 forest is the Remez Banshee, a ranged unit.<br />It can thus be assumed that cavalry and pikemen will perform well on attacking a level 6 dark forest.<br />Scout before you do anything, and try to figure out what to do based on all the above…<br />The outcome would be largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers, Blades, Arms, Priests, Hounds and Banshees.
  +
  +
Defeating a Level 7 Dark Forest<br />————————————–
  +
  +
The strongest unit you might find defending a level 7 forest is the Son of Ysbadden, a melee unit.<br />It can thus be assumed that archers and pikemen will perform well on attacking a level 7 dark forest.<br />Scout before you do anything, and try to figure out what to do based on all the above…<br />The outcome would be largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers, Blades, Arms, Priests, Hounds, Banshees and Sons.
  +
  +
Defeating a Level 8 Dark Forest<br />————————————–
  +
  +
The strongest unit you might find defending a level 8 forest is the Dark Rider, a mounted unit.<br />It can thus be assumed that pikemen and archers will perform well on attacking a level 8 dark forest.<br />Scout before you do anything, and try to figure out what to do based on all the above…<br />The outcome would be largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers, Blades, Arms, Priests, Hounds, Banshees, Sons and Riders.
  +
  +
Defeating a Level 9 Dark Forest<br />————————————–
  +
  +
The strongest unit you might find defending a level 9 forest is the Sidhe Scorpion, a ranged unit.<br />Scout before you do anything, and try to figure out what to do based on all the above…<br />The outcome would be largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers, Blades, Arms, Priests, Hounds, Banshees, Sons, Riders and Scorpions
  +
  +
Defeating a Level 10 Dark Forest<br />—————————————
  +
  +
The strongest unit you might find defending a level 10 forest is the Sidhe Templar, a strong melee unit.<br />Scout before you do anything, and try to figure out what to do based on all the above…<br />The outcome would be largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers, Blades, Arms, Priests, Hounds, Banshees, Sons, Riders, Scorpions and Templar's.

FAQEdit

Source Kabam Forums (edited)

Q: What are the Dark Forests?
A: Camelot is in turmoil! There are strange happenings all throughout the Kingdom and people continue to disappear, leaving no clue as to where they might have gone. Now, with Guinevere kidnapped, Arthur has called his Knights into action! But is it too late? The world is being ripped open, and mysterious and vicious creatures are entering our world from beyond.

Q: How do I find the Dark Forests?
A: The Dark Forests are beginning to appear in Bogs all over Camelot. Search your map for Bogs to find those that have been transformed into Dark Forests. Thankfully, not all Bogs within the Kingdom have yet been transformed so be sure to search diligently. Ridding Camelot of the Dark Forests may be difficult, as it is rumored that when one is destroyed, another one opens somewhere else mere hours later.

Q: Are all Dark Forests the same?
A: No two Dark Forests are the same. Each contains a different assortment of creatures for you to battle. As this threat has only just begun to plague Camelot, there are currently only levels 1-4 to be found. Dark Forests of the same level do NOT contain identical creatures of identical strength.

Q: What will I find within the Dark Forests?
A: Within the Dark Forests you will find never-before-seen creatures, stronger than anything you have ever encountered in Camelot. Thankfully, Scouts have proven to be very adept at identifying what inhabits a Dark Forest; so much so, in fact, that it only takes one Scout to provide a reliable report of what creatures await you inside.

Q: How do I triumph over a Dark Forest?
A: To dispel a Dark Forest, you will need to defeat all of the creatures that inhabit it. This is done in the same way that you would attack a rival city. Locate the Dark Forest on your map, click on it and then click “Attack”. Choose the attacking Troops, apply boosts, select a Knight and march your army into battle.

Q: How does combat within the Dark Forests differ from elsewhere in Camelot?
A: The creatures within the Dark Forests are a new threat to Camelot. Battling them is unpredictable, and emerging victorious with little to no losses is extremely unlikely. That being said, certain troop types are better against certain foes, and it will take experience to determine these factors.

You’ve probably noticed that your troops have a ‘type’ associated with them in the troop training model.

Nevertheless, coming to an understanding of the type of foe you are facing will, over time, help you determine which troops to send and how many.

Q: Will I be rewarded for defeating the monsters within Dark Forests?
A: Yes, dispelling a Dark Forest will earn you several rewards- a vast amount of Gold, a chance for an item (including premium items such as a Divine Providence or Divine Inspiration, for example), and a significant amount of experience for your Knight. Furthermore, repeated victories may provide valuable intel on how to deal with future Dark Forests.

Population and aetherstone rewardEdit

The population of each level of Dark Forest seems to be based on a fixed number of Wanders of Din, that is then modified according to randomly generated numbers to populate the other categories. The base number is the same as the number of aetherstone found - 1,000, 2,000, 4,000, 8,000 ... 512,000, (XP is 3 times this number and gold 1.15 time the base number).

Example: Level 5 Dark Forest, 16,000 Wanderers of Din. Each of the other categories that can be found in a level 5 is then given a number of troop (possibly 0) and a proportion of the WoD are removed, more for tougher units and less for weaker units. (A level 5 with 16,000 WoD and nothing else has been found.)

When Dark Forest troops are killed, the attacking kingdom is rewarded with aetherstone in a proportion of 1 aetherstone to 1 WoD. Clearly, wiping out a full Dark Forest will earn rewards, 1,000, 2,000, .. 512,000 aetherstone, depending on the level.  Defeats and partial victories will reward pro rata.

Various collected InformationEdit

  • Lower-tier units suffer fewer losses than higher-tier units (as well as being a more efficient use of resources).
  • Dark Forests make no use of Range and Speed whatsoever.
  • Dark Forests are much more random than the normal combat system.
  • Militiaman and supply troops seem to be the most efficient and effective up to level 5.  At Level 6 and above, a 200k MM wave will all be dead.
  • Cavalry and Heavy cavalry are also reasonably efficient against them, as well as having a faster marching speed.
  • Like wildernesses, Dark Forests do not immediately respawn, so a two-wave hit could be used.
  • The Guardians help you in the same way as if you were attacking a player. As of right now, you are either Increasing your troops Attack value, or you're Increasing their HP.
  • Aetherstone: Normally you can only gain aetherstone by attacking Dark Forests. When you attack lvl 5+ wilds you gain throne room items, if you don't want the throne room item, you salvage it.  When you salvage it, based on its rarity level, you gain a somewhat equivalent value in Aetherstone.

From Another Site (may need to work into the rest)Edit

Dark Forest GuideEdit

Level 1-10 bogs randomly become level 1-10 dark forests.
Dark forests can be scouted and they can be attacked.

If a dark forest wins a battle, it still remains where it is.
The troops that were killed will not return. Only those surviving the battle remain in the forest.

Each time a dark forest is defeated, it disappears.
Once in a while (not sure if it's a set time or after a certain amount of dark forests have been defeated), new dark forests reappear in new places all over the domain (or maybe only one province at a time) to replace those that have been defeated.

Be careful if you hit dark forests during this period of regeneration, as they may regenerate as a higher level than before.
An error message saying "Cannot perform this action on target location" is a sign of this regeneration being in progress.
If you do not get a report from attacking a dark forest, the forest most probably isn't there anymore, but has reverted back to a bog.

Since defeated forests disappear, you can defeat any one dark forest only once.

Creatures
————

Each dark forest contains a number of creatures.
Generally, these creatures have more life points than our units, but are quite weak on defense.
There are ten different creatures, of increasing population size:

Wanderer of Din
Population = 1
Each level 1 dark forest contains a total population of 1,000, always consisting of 1,000 Wanderers of Din.
This is a melee unit, comparable to militiamen:
· Attack: 20 (100 for militiamen)
· Defense: 10 (13 for militiamen)
· Life: 70 (400 for militiamen)

Blade of Netzekt
Population = 3
Each level 2 dark forest contains a total population of 2,000, being a mixture of Wanderes and Blades.
This is a mounted unit, comparable to cavalry:
· Attack: 95 (500 for cavalry)
· Defense: 16 (45 for cavalry)
· Life: 250 (1000 for cavalry)

Arm of Gevrah
Population = 5

· Life: 1200 (1400 for supply wagon)

Sahareen hounds
Population = 11
Each level 5 dark forest contains a total population of 16,000, being a mixture of Wanderes, Blades, Arms, Priests and Hounds.

Defeating a Dark Forest
—————————–

Depending on the experience of your knight, your troops will be hit a certain number of times, till either you or they are defeated. The more experienced your knight is, the fewer rounds will be needed to defeat a dark forest.
The strength of your own troops has less meaning than your knight's experience. Do not send large numbers of strong units against low level dark forests, especially not catapults.

For minimal losses, use layered attacks. Note however, that the order in which your layered troops fight is quite possible random, or at least dependent on the number of different types of troops defending.
The more layered single troops you include, the more of them will get a chance to fight, and reduce the remaining troops for the bulk of your force to defeat.

To defeat dark forests of level 7 and higher may require more than one attack.

Defeating a Level 1 Dark Forest
————————————-

Since there is only one type of troops defending a level 1 Dark Forest,
there are several known safe ways of defeating them.

It is safe to assume that 1 single cavalry will always fight and die first.
It is also safe to assume that archers will perform well on attacking Wanderers of Din, a melee unit.

The following is the "cheapest" setup, for short distances (only the militiaman will die):
· 1 militiaman
· 10k archers (a good knight requires fewer, a bad knight more)

The following is the "fastest" setup, for long distances (only the cavalry will die):
· 1 cavalry
· 120k scouts (a good knight requires fewer, a bad knight more)

Defeating a Level 2 Dark Forest
————————————–

The strongest unit defending a level 2 forest is the Blade of Netzekt, a mounted unit.
It is thus assumed that pikemen will perform well on attacking a level 2 dark forest.
However, the outcome is largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers and Blades of Netzekt.

When attacking a level 2 dark forest, use an experienced knight.
A rather safe setup of troops is:
· 1 supply troop
· 1 scout
· 1 pikeman
· 1 swordsman
· 1 archer
· 1 cavalry
· 150k, or maximum amount of militiamen

Sometimes you will lose only 2 or 3 single troops, sometimes 1 or 2 singles and a few militiamen as well.

If you scout the level 2 forest first, and find a large number of Blades of Netzekt, you can try this setup as well:
· 1 supply troop
· 1 militiaman
· 1 scout
· 1 swordsman
· 1 archer
· 1 cavalry
· 150k, or maximum amount of pikemen

Defeating a Level 3 Dark Forest
————————————–

The strongest unit defending a level 3 forest is the Arm of Gevrah, a ranged unit.
It is thus assumed that cavalry will perform well on attacking a level 3 dark forest.
However, the outcome is largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers, Blades and Arms of Gevrah.

When attacking a level 3 dark forest, use your most experienced knight.
A rather safe setup of troops is:
· 1 supply troop
· 1 scout
· 1 pikeman
· 1 swordsman
· 1 archer
· 1 cavalry
· 1 heavy cavalry
· 1 supply wagon
· 150k, or maximum amount of militiamen

You will lose a few single troops, and most likely a few hundred militiamen.

If you scout the level 3 forest first, and find a large number of Arms of Gevrah, you can try with this setup as well:
· 1 supply troop
· 1 militiaman
· 1 scout
· 1 pikeman
· 1 swordsman
· 1 archer
· 1 heavy cavalry
· 1 supply wagon
· 150k, or maximum amount of cavalry

Defeating a Level 4 Dark Forest
————————————–

The strongest unit defending a level 4 forest is the Priest of Yeshod, a specialist unit.
Since we do not know what special forces they possess, it is unknown which troops perform best against them.
Besides, the outcome would be largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers, Blades, Arms and Priests of Yeshod.

When attacking a level 4 dark forest, always use your most experienced knight.
A rather safe setup of troops is:
· 1 supply troop
· 1 scout
· 1 pikeman
· 1 swordsman
· 1 archer
· 1 cavalry
· 1 heavy cavalry
· 1 supply wagon
· 1 ballista
· 1 battering ram
· 150k, or maximum amount of militiamen

You will lose several single troops, the more the better.
Depending on how many single troops you lost, you will also lose some 1-10k militiamen.

Defeating a Level 5 Dark Forest
————————————–

The strongest unit you might find defending a level 5 forest is the Sahareen Hound, a mounted unit.
It can thus be assumed that pikemen will perform well on attacking a level 5 dark forest.
However, the outcome would be largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers, Blades, Arms, Priests and Hounds.

Defeating a Level 6 Dark Forest
————————————–

The strongest unit you might find defending a level 6 forest is the Remez Banshee, a ranged unit.
It can thus be assumed that cavalry and pikemen will perform well on attacking a level 6 dark forest.
Scout before you do anything, and try to figure out what to do based on all the above…
The outcome would be largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers, Blades, Arms, Priests, Hounds and Banshees.

Defeating a Level 7 Dark Forest
————————————–

The strongest unit you might find defending a level 7 forest is the Son of Ysbadden, a melee unit.
It can thus be assumed that archers and pikemen will perform well on attacking a level 7 dark forest.
Scout before you do anything, and try to figure out what to do based on all the above…
The outcome would be largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers, Blades, Arms, Priests, Hounds, Banshees and Sons.

Defeating a Level 8 Dark Forest
————————————–

The strongest unit you might find defending a level 8 forest is the Dark Rider, a mounted unit.
It can thus be assumed that pikemen and archers will perform well on attacking a level 8 dark forest.
Scout before you do anything, and try to figure out what to do based on all the above…
The outcome would be largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers, Blades, Arms, Priests, Hounds, Banshees, Sons and Riders.

Defeating a Level 9 Dark Forest
————————————–

The strongest unit you might find defending a level 9 forest is the Sidhe Scorpion, a ranged unit.
Scout before you do anything, and try to figure out what to do based on all the above…
The outcome would be largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers, Blades, Arms, Priests, Hounds, Banshees, Sons, Riders and Scorpions

Defeating a Level 10 Dark Forest
—————————————

The strongest unit you might find defending a level 10 forest is the Sidhe Templar, a strong melee unit.
Scout before you do anything, and try to figure out what to do based on all the above…
The outcome would be largely dependent on the ratio between Wanderers, Blades, Arms, Priests, Hounds, Banshees, Sons, Riders, Scorpions and Templar's.
