A Blacksmith is required to train Swordsman (level 3), Heavy Cavalry (level 7), and Battering Ram (level 5). A Blacksmith is also required for many wall and field defenses, such as Wall-Mounted Crossbows (level 6), Defensive Trebuchets (level 8), Traps (level 4), and Spiked Barriers (level 2).
